Getting wet and remodeling

My Life (in as many posts as it takes) #103

Its no fair that June is already over, I just started the month yesterday.
Seriously though, I feel like this month has just flown by and I don't have a whole lot to show for it. I did get a new cat (I'll post pictures of him next week). Right now we're in the middle of remodeling our kitchen, so the whole house is a wreck. That's where a good bit of my time has gone this week, helping with that project.
Instead of prattling on for a long time, heres some photos

I was walking in the woods last week, trying to take some pictures of the creek without getting wet and I slipped a bit and got my skirt wet. Then I gave up and ended up getting soaked up to my waist, including a lot of my hair. But it was awesome. Keeping clean is overrated sometimes.

Have you ever just given up on keeping clean and ended up having fun?

He is undeniable

Food For Thought #73

This is a poem I wrote earlier this week. Enjoy!

Perhaps my life has not all been good
Not everything has gone as I thought it should
But I’ve known all my life that God is undeniably real
I’ve tried to go before his throne every day and knell
I try to give all my life to Him
I try to give it all over even when I’m on the rim
Sometimes it feels like the cares of the world will be too much
It feels that no one even has a kind touch
But I know I can turn back to my Lord
And to is living word and sword
Because He is unmistakably kind
And He has true peace for you to find
Nothing can compare to His light
And for you He will fight
He is the ruler of my very soul
He fills me up and makes me whole
And He is always reliable

He is undeniable

Life is getting some direction

My Life (In as many posts as it takes) #102

You know those weeks where you get very little done, but you still feel great because you discovered something awesome? Yeah, that was my week this last seven days. I got very little done this last week. A lot of that had to do with the fact that I had a cold Wednesday-Saturday, but, it seems like despite the fact that I mostly just made a dent in my to-read list, that a lot of things have begun to fall in place. I am finally getting a clearer idea of what I really need to be spending my days on, and what I might want to do with my life. It seems crazy to me that I'm already deciding what I want to do for a living, but I think God is really pointing me towards some things. I could really use some prayer because first and foremost I want to honor God with whatever I do, so I really would love some prayer that I would do what He wants me to do, in the way that He wants me to do it.

Its a crazy life, but awesome none the less. I hope y'all enjoy the photos! I'll be back on Friday with another post!

This was a hatchery that we went to. =)

I love tire swings, don't you? =)

These are some photos I took with my sister, Rebekkah, at the beach:

By the way, my friend, Micaiah is having a really awesome giveaway, you should check it out! You can click the link <here> or click on the photo below and it will take you to the giveaway!

Love always perseveres, a one sentance dialoge

Food For Thought #72

Y'all probably recognize by now my one sentence dialogs. This series is following two characters and has to be read in order so if you missed the first one, Here, or the second one, Here, go ahead and check those out before you read this. =)

I hope you enjoy this third part in my series!

Where to next?
The post office.
You haven’t been there in a long time.
I know.
You used to be faithful about checking for mail.
I am aware of that.
Why are you not anymore?
Do you really care?
I do?
Why?
Because of our conversations.
Thank you.
So why haven’t you been going lately?
Her letters hurt.
Is she still mad at you?
I think she is mad at the world.
Yet she is still writing to you?
Yes.
Then she is not to angry at you.
Or she’s just venting her anger on me.
I thought you said you would never give up on love?
I won’t.
Then why are you so discouraged?
Because watching one you love destroy themselves is painful.
And there is nothing you can do?
No.
You’re sure of that?
No.
Maybe you could go to see her.
I don’t think that would be a good idea.
Why not?
Because I think she’s to mad to handle a visit well.
You never know, it could be just what she needs.
Or just what she doesn’t.
So you’re just going to stay here?
No, I’m not going to just stay here.
What are you going to do?
I’m going to pray.
For what?
That she would be healed.
And how do you think that will happen?
I don’t know how, but God will bring things and people to heal her.
Are you sure of that?
I am.
How?
God loves his children and wants them to be whole, the Bible says so.
You’re positive he will heal her?
If it is His will, He will.
And you refuse to take your own course of action?
I do.
Then I will take you to the post office.
Thank you.
There is one more thing I’m curious about.
What is that?
Are you going to let her hurt you just so she will heal?
If that’s what it takes, yes.
Then I was right.
About what?
You’re a fool.
Perhaps.

So, what did you think?

Infnity Dream Award

My Life (In as many posts as it takes) #101

Thank you Allie for nominating me for the Infinity Dreams Award

Rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you
2. Tell 11 facts about yourself
3. Answer the 11 questions given to you
4. Tag 11 bloggers and give them 11 new questions

11 facts. They make this step sound so easy. But really, the moment I have to write down facts I forget every interesting thing about me. But, here goes:

1. I've had one of my quotes put to a t-shirt
2. I love opening packages.
3. I love making lists... just not of facts about myself.
4. I'm scared of heights.
5. I write in a journal nightly.

6. I write a whole lot of poetry.
7. I love summer.
8. I love the show Emergency.
9. Next month I am finishing my Ordinary trilogy. (Hopefully)
10. I love For King And Country's song "Proof of Your Love"
11. I love chocolate milk.

(Was that list random enough for y'all?)

The questions:

1. What is your favorite blog?
I think you meant blogs. I have about 3-4. Defying Depravity, Living Joyfully, Adventures Beyond the Horizon, and A Writers Faith.

2. What is the biggest thing you've learned from blogging?
That sometimes the thing that is hardest to write about is really what needs to be written about most. This is not always true, but a lot of times it is.

3. How many siblings do you have?
I have four sisters and one brother, all older then me. =)

4. Favorite author?
Jessica Greyson.

5. What is a movie that has greatly impacted you?
The War Within.

6. What is a book that has greatly impacted you? (other than the bible!)
Treasures of the Snow and Rainbow Garden.

7. What is one of your prized possessions?
My letters from all my friends, and a locket my oldest sister gave me.

8. What is one of your best memories?
I don't know, I have so many good ones. One I really love is climbing the Appalations mountains as a family. That was really awesome.

9. Your best writing advice?
Write. Yeah, that's it. Just write. Stop putting it off or making excusing.

10. What is the title of the book that you are currently working on? (tell a little about it)
Just Your Ordinary Spy. It is the third book in a series about a girl named Mandy and how she gets pulled into working for a crime fighting organization.
This book does not have much plot yet, but then again, my books rarely do until I'm in the middle of them. =)

11. What is your favorite bible character besides Jesus?
Probably Joseph (The one from Genesis), or Thomas, the disciple.

Most people I know have already been tagged for this. So if you want to do it, go for it!

I hope y'all have a great day!
