9/11

Photo via Google images

Its been thirteen years since the towers fell, taking with it some of our nations biggest heroes. Not just the firefighters and policemen but the trapped people who gave their lives for others. We all see the effects of 9/11 day to day in secure planes, memorials and a new World Trade Center Tower built over ground zero. Today is a day not only to think about the people we lost but to be grateful to them for giving us a safer place to live in before the towers fell. Despite the horrors of that day, life keeps moving and we can all be proud of the country we live in because we all got back up again after one of the most difficult times in our life's.
God has truely blessed America with a will to live and the ability to always get back up agian, even when things look hopeless.

My life (in as Many posts as it takes) #11

Hey guys, its been a kinda crazy week, not in a bad way at all but we've been running around, going places, seeing people and having a grand time. I'm a bit glad to finally sit back and have a normal week with nothing exciting happening.
So this morning I woke up at 5:30 to my mom telling me she was about to leave (To take my dad to work) and I freeked out because my alarm had not gone off so I could give my mom a snuggle before she left so I went out, said goodbye and was so frustrated I couldn't get back to sleep so I went ahead and got dressed. Then there was that lovely (Not) feeling of being the only one awake in a completly dark house the creaks and groans a lot, not to mention our dog whimpers a lot first thing in the morning, So yeah, I'm a bit of a scardy cat sometimes. =P But I managed to get a lot of my school done by 7:00 (You'd be amazed how much you want to concentrate on Math when your sure someone is lurking around the house) and now I'm off to sort laundry. =P
Are any of ya'll just the slightest bit afraid when being the only one awake?

These pictures are actually from a cupple months back when we went out for Sarah's Birthday but I thought you might enjoy them anyway. =)
Note: The hippo is the City Symbol of Hutto and they had one on main street so we we're having fun and took pictures with it, don't think we're weird thats what they built it for. ;)

Our intimation of Hippo's

My life (In as Many posts as it take) #10

Feeling like a Heath Nut.
Okay, so to start off this rather rambling post I'm going to say my dad is having some heath isues. Nothing mager really, just some trouble keeping up energy and some mild cognitive impairment but its bad enough we decided to do something to help, go off all carbonation. Meaning: No sodas and no coffee. =P It hasn't been great but it hasn't really been that bad, we've managed not to break it so far. =) Also, the onther thing thats making me feel like a heath nut: the girls of the family are doing Zoomba, which is a Wii systum workout where you mirror the person on screen. Thats been tough to but really nice because its given me some more energy. =) I never thought of myself as the Heath Nut type and I'm glad I'm not a full out one because I'd never want to give up all my sugar. =) So, any of ya'll feeling like a heath nut? =)

The pictures are all of a friend of my family's (Sarah's especially) named Michelle. Believe me shes is the cutest thing on earth not to mention shes extremely photogenic. =D So one day while we were having lunch at a restaurant with her I sat across the table from her with a camera and just took pictures, you get to see the best.

This is my favorite picture of her. =D

Isn't she cute? =D

Happy September!!!

P.S. I'm going to re-decorate my blog so watch out for that! =D

The little guy is her nephew. =)

Hello and welcome to The Bubblegum Ballerina, I'm so glad you have you here!

Hi! Thank you for having me! I’m happy to be here.

Could you tell us a bit about yourself?

I am a fourteen-year-old teenager, a Christian, a writer, a singer, an aunt to six, a sister to five, and a daughter and friend of Christ Jesus.

How long have you been Blogging?

I have only been blogging since June of this year, but I love it!

Why did you begin Blogging?

So I could talk about all the books, music, and movies that I love...without talking the ears off of my family members!

How did you choose your blog title?

I love adventure fiction – or just adventure, period -  and I think that there are tons of adventures out there if you go and look. Hence the title ‘Adventures Beyond the Horizon.’

What’s your favorite blog?

Hmm...I would probably say Word Painters. My favorite author writes on Word Painters and there is a ton of good advice for aspiring writers!

What are some of your hobbies?

I love reading, writing, singing, photography, rollerblading, and, recently, I’ve been interested in baking!

What three words describe you best?

I’d say: Dramatic, creative, and adventurous. And that’s not just me talking...my family came up with those words! I had to ask. =) Oh, I can also be very bubbly.

What’s your favorite book?

Brothers at Arms by John J. Horn is one, or To Birmingham Castle by Alicia A. Willis is another. They’re both amazing stories!

What’s your favorite movie?

That’s a hard question! I don’t know! My favorite Disney movie is Tangled, and I’d say another movie that I like is The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

What’s your favorite TV series?

Signed, Sealed, Delivered or When Calls the Heart from Hallmark! How could I pick? They’re both heartwarming and hilarious.

What is your favorite color?

Blue/Turquoise.

What’s your favorite animal?

I love horses, polar bears, and my dog. =) I honestly wish I could own my own horse!

What’s your favorite word?

It may sound funny, but I like the words ‘fjord’ and ‘adventure.’

Do you write? If so, what’s your favorite genre?

I do, and I love writing historical adventure fiction - which happens to be the genre I enjoy reading!

Which do you prefer, email or phones?

Email, definitely. I am kind of awkward on the phone...trust me!

Do you have a Pinterest account? If so, attach the link.

I do! I am new to Pinterest, but I love it! I could (and do!) spend hours on there... http://www.pinterest.com/micaiahkeough1/

If you could meet one person, who would you meet?

Only one? =) Well, besides Jesus, I think I’d say either John J. Horn or Braden Russell!

Who is your favorite fictional character?

Another hard question... I love both Lawrence and Chester Stoning from Brothers at Arms and Secret of the Lost Settlement by John Horn, but, if I had to pick just one, I think I’d say Millie Keith from the A Life of Faith: Millie Keith series by Martha Finley.

Thanks for giving up your time so we could get to know you!

Thank you! I had fun. =)
