Unfinished

Unfinished 
Like an abandoned house 
People were ready to move in 
They were so eager 
About what was to come 
But then it struck 
It was so unexpected 
But they just couldn’t stand 
To move into that house 
So they left it 
Never to be touched again 
Saying goodbye 
Not only to the house 
But to the dream 
And really 
There is nothing quite as painful 
As leaving something you loved 
Unfinished
