With God

Food For Thought #76

With God all things are possible.

With God all things are possible.
God doesn’t want us to just do things for him. He wants us to do things with us. In everything we do, we can invite him to do it with us and I can guarantee you, He’ll do it with you.
I can do a great many things for God and it would not bring me much closer to him, but doing things with him builds a relationship that will last forever.

Crazy week

My Life (In as many posts as it takes) #105

Hello everyone! It's been a hectic week of just barely getting things done on time and missing things. Blog posts have been missed (sorry about Wednesday), word counts have been crammed in at ridiculous hours of the night, books just haven't gotten read, reviews wait weeks to be written, my room has been neglected. But you know what? It's a good week. I'm eleven days into CampNaNoWriMo and my plot is still holding together (Amazingly). I've been doing lots of photography. The kitchen, which we have been remodeling for over two weeks now, will be done tonight. I had the amazing opportunity to Advance read for an author.
This list could go on and on, but I've got to go now.

Enjoy the photos!

Galatians

Food For Thought #75

Hey guys, I found a really cool section in my Bible this week. I wish I had more time to share, but I'm hard pressed just to get this in!

Galatians 2:19-21

For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

A kitten and my last day of being 16

My Life (For as many posts as it takes) #104

Happy Independence day!!! To celebrate my family has completely torn up a good portion of our house and we're putting in new flooring! ;) Okay, so we're not actually doing that to celebrate, its just when we had time to do it.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) I'll be turning seventeen. I'm really not sure what to think of that yet. Does anybody else know that scared, yet excited feeling when you are about to do something big? Thats how I feel this birthday. This year has already been packed with life changing and building stuff and I can only see that increasing as I turn seventeen. Let's just pray that I manage to survive myself. Just in the last week alone I've managed to get a dog bite from a dog that is not up on his rabies shot. (Prayers for that would be appreciated, but don't worry, because the doctor said the chance of me getting any illness is SUPER small and we have taken measures to make sure I don't get anything.)
So yeah, surviving myself is harder than it sounds. ;P

I do want to thank y'all for being so awesome and reading my blog, because that alone is a birthday present to me. Y'alls comments, friendships and messages have by far been the best thing about blogging. THANK YOU!!!

I already feel birthday-ed with all the awesome things that have gone on this week: Getting new books, messaging friends, getting to see a live production of Beauty and the Beast, texting, getting funny emails, going out with siblings, taking goofy group selfies in the back of a car, getting autographs from actors, being able to hang out with friends, and being told you had a birthday present and going out to find this:

My sister Rebekkah, my dog Luke, and my kitten Shadow, all of which have been around awhile, but they made perfect presents. =)
Now for a photo dump of pictures of Shadow:

This is my favorite photo of him. Hes just so cute!

Shadow and Luke meeting.

And he can fit on my camrea bag. (Rebekkah took this photo)

He is actually attacking my skirt, not sucking on it like the photo makes it look.

He atacked his own tail.

I just loved the look on his face. XD

Trying to get the 'mouse'

What are you doing for Independance Day?
Whats been the best part of your week so far?

Philippians 4

Food For Thought #74

I was listening to bible the other day while out biking and I came to the last chapter in Philippians and the whole chapter is simply awesome, but this passage really stood out to me:

Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
