~Rules~
1) Link back to the person who tagged you
2) Answer all 11 questions
3) Tag 11 bloggers who have less than a thousand readers
4) Ask them 11 questions
5) Let them know you've tagged them through social media

1. Best Chapter in a book you've ever read?
Hum, now that's a hard one. I don't tend to think of books in chapters, but as a whole. But I would say that one of my favorites was in Treasures of the Snow by Patrica Saint John. Chapter Seventeen. I couldn't describe it, because it would give stuff away. But if you've read the book, you know what I'm talking about.

2. A Book your most proud of (if not an author, a piece of artwork)?
Probably my book Just Your Ordinary Girl. I love every single one of my characters in it. I love that book more then any of my others.

3. A Book You Can Read Over and Over?
Annabeth's War by Jessica Greyson. That book is so awesome. I read that book a lot.

4. Favorite Vintage Item
A 1923 Underwood typewriter my aunt gave me. I love that thing!

5. The best Mom & Pop Store Near You
Can't say I go to many. Unless you count a locally owned Thirft store.

6. A Movie and Book You Like That is Not Well Known
For the movie, I would say The War Withen. It is an amazing Christian movie. And for the book, I would say The Heart Of Arcea by Nicole Sager.

7. Your Absolute Favorite Time Era
The 1950's.

8. What is Your Favorite Old Movie &/or TV Show?
Five Mile Creek. Its great.

9. A Matter Current America is Dealing With That Makes You Indignant
Well, to be honest, I don't really like to get that upset at America in general. I would rather try to help individual people then get mad about things.

10. Your Dream house would consist of...?
Something with a large library, cubby holes for reading, and plenty of room to do things in.

11. Favorite Disney Character &/or Princess?
Probably Belle.

There we go. And since I don't like to just do a bunch of random questions, I picked a theme.

My Questions:
1. What is the last thing you wrote?
2. What is the last thing you ate?
3. What is the last you listened to?
4. What was the last book you read?
5. What was the last blog you visited?
6. What was the last website you had open?
7. What was the last game you played?
8. What was the last Bible verse you read?
9. What was the last thing that made you laugh allowed?
10. What is the last thing you said?
11. What is the last gift you received?

And I tag

Katie at Sparkly Ambitions
Abigail at Author of my Hope
Megan at A Barefoot Gal
And anyone else who would like to do it. =)

Does anyone else feel like Febuary just raced by?
I hope y'all are having an awesome day!

Food For Thought #56

He Was Thinking of You

Please don’t ever think you are not worth loving. Christ died on the cross because he thought you were worth it.
When he was dying, he was thinking about you. He wanted you to be with him forever. He died so that you would have a chance to love  and be loved. So that you could be his child.
When he was dying he was thinking about how amazing it would be when he would get to hold you in his arms. He was thinking about all the pain he would help you get over so that you could be with him forever.
He died because he knew you were worth it.
And when he took his final breath, he was thinking of you with love.

Writing Wednesday #24

God is going to be with you

This is a poem I wrote today, and I thought I would share it with y'all.

This life is filled with tears
It’s filled with insults and jeers
It’s easy to let them get you down
And let it all make you frown
But this is not what our lives are about
So don’t you worry or pout
Because God has your life in his hand
Whether you’re on the sea, air or land
He is going to take care of you
And he is going to see you through
To when this pain is gone
Even if it takes years long
God is always going to be there
All you have to do is to share,
Share with him all the pain inside
And let him sit by your side

Finally getting the hang of it

Well, after working at it for a good bit of time, I am finally getting into the hang of my dreaded exercise. I still am not enjoying it, but I'm also not killing myself with it either. Now I run in the morning, immediately followed by three minutes of the exercise (I'm going to slowly increase that) and in the evenings at least three times a week I'm going for a long bike ride.
You know what, you learn some odd things while bike riding. I thought I would share a couple things that stood out to me this week while on my rides.

1. When its just you and God on a lonely road, its a lot easy to talk to him.
While biking though these rarely used back country roads, I realized just how much easier it is for me to open up to God when the two of us are truly alone. I mean, when I'm out there, I'll just start telling God how my week was, and bring things to him in earnest request.
Isn't God awesome that he actually wants to hear rambling from us? I love that about him.

2. You can discover your true level of strength.
When I'm all alone biking like that, I find it much easier to discover my real strength. All of my distractions are gone. There is no one telling me to slow down. There are no influencing what I do but God and it is then that I can truly find out what I am capable of.

The dew froze in balls at the tip of these peices of grass. =D

3. You can slow down and smell the roses.
So often when were going places, we don't relize how much were missing. When I began biking, I was so happy at the amount of things I was able to just stop and enjoy. I can just pull over anytime and look at stuff. I was able to just enjoy some of Gods beauty that I had previously always gone by really fast.

This is a bracelet I just got.

So there, a totally random list for you!
Thanks for reading!

Food For Thought #55

When you feel like a failure

In this broken world it is very easy to feel like your a failure. There are voices everywhere telling us that if were not small enough, we're a failure. If we don't know a certain stuff, we're a failure. If we don't always feel God's presence, we're a failure. The voices are telling us that if your not what your friends expect, we're a failure. That if we don't have enough followers on social medias, we're a failure. The voices are telling us that if we don't live up to the expectations, we are failures.
Its an easy thing to think your a failure. I can say for sure, each of us could find something that people would say defined us as failures.
But that is not what God thinks. Even if we make a make a mistake, we are not failures. God says he will work all things for the good of those who love him in Romans 8:28. That means even when we think we failed, or the world thinks we've failed, God is using it for our good.
So why are we letting ourselves be defined by what we think are our failures when God wants to use them for good?

Do not cling to passing things

Last week one of my lovely blog readers commented in response to my question about what Bible verse had stood out this week. She told me that 1 John 2:15-17 was what she had been reading, so I went and read it to, and thought it would be a great post. (Thanks Allie!)

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Another verse I think goes with it:

Hebrews 10:10
We have been set apart as holy because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do by sacrificing his body once and for all.

Writing Wednesday #23

A poem

Hello! I thought I'd share a poem with y'all that I wrote awhile back. It was inspired by a friend of mine.

Everyone looked at the girl in a perfect blue dress
She looked like perfection would be less
She loved her family and they loved her back
And for making friends she had a knack
She was perfect in every sense
No one ever called her dense.
If you asked her she would say she was fine
In every way she seemed to shine.
But once she breaks away from everyone with a sigh
She goes by herself and has a cry
Because even though she might look perfect
Inside she is really quite wrecked.
She holds a lot of hurt inside
And she has no one in which to confide.
Her heart hurts so much she thinks it will break
When people call her perfect more pain does wake
Because she knows she's just as flawed as the rest
And she's been through just as hard of a test
She try's to tell them all that she is flawed
But they are all still by her awed.
They refused to acknowledge she is not what they think
And know that she is on the brink.
She cry's in her room all alone
All because they refuse to own
That she really is not as perfect as she seems
She is still the perfect girl in their dreams.

My Life (In as many posts as it takes) #83

I wish I could post more.

Hello! I'm sorry I missed my Writing Wednesday post this week. I'll post this week instead. =)
I went out to town nearly every day this week so I feel like I was left panting, and behind on school. So, this week will a bit of cramming on school, but it will be good to be busy. Hopefully it will keep me out of trouble, right? ;D
Here are a couple photos I took of Rebekkah last week. =)

Doesn't she look awesome?

I love the color contrast. =D

There you go!
How was your week?

Food For Thought #53

The Love Chapter

Every morning I read some in my Bible, working my way from beginning to end, and sometimes at night I'll read different things wherever I like in the Bible. For the last three nights I've just read over 1 Corinthians 13. AKA, the love chapter.
It's really been making me think about how I can love others more.
For most things, I read in my NIV Bible, but for this chapter I like it in the NLT.

I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 9 Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.

When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Is there a verse or chapter of the Bible that has captured your attention this week?
What stood out to you most about this chapter?
