Perfectly Normal

Perfectly Normal

Isn't it disappointing sometimes to be normal? I read books about people who go on adventures or are very odd people in odd circumstances and sometimes wish I had that type of life. I've always wished I could have 56 mysteries in one year like Nancy Drew. I mean what could be better than getting bashed over the head, getting rescued by Ned and then feeling no after affects? The problem is that most of us are just normal people and we will probably never be faced by a warring gorilla with an AK47. Disappointing right? But this year I realized something; if I was faced by an AK47 I would probably have a heart attack and kill over. Actually most of us would probably have very normal reactions, like screaming for help or fainting so what would happen if we were put into an action book? Scary thought right? =) I have nothing against fiction. I love a good action book but sometimes I get caught to up in wanting that life. And lets admit it, I'm not going to get 56 real life mystery's for my birthday. =P But you know, I'm okay with that. I can at least live out that life in my books. =D I like being semi normal. =)
Thanks for reading everyone!

Fun Facts and Words

I know I have some mixed followers, some of you live in Texas but most of you do not so I wanted to do a post with fun facts about Texas. I hope I found some you did not know!

Isn't is an awesome flag? =D
Facts
Date of Statehood: December 29, 1845
Capital: Austin (A weird place, which I do not like but five of my family members work in by necessity of the family carpool.)
Largest City: Houston (The home of perpetual fog yet beautiful beaches)
Flower: Bluebonnet (Which covers the landscape during spring and it GORGEOUS)
Tree: Pecan (Which in Texas pecan is pronounced pa-con and it’s the correct way. =D )
Bird: Mockingbird (Because we mock anyone who tries to measure up. ;D)
Nickname: Lone Star State
Motto: Friendship (A very appropriate nickname. =) )
State anthem: Texas, Our Texas
Before statehood: Republic of Texas
Rank by size: 2’nd (Outdone by Alaska, but if you melt all its ice we would be first. ;) )

Things unique to Texas
H-E-B: an awesome grocery store which has quarter sodas and the nicest people. =)

Blue Bell Ice Cream: Honestly I feel sorry for you if you have never tasted Blue Bell. Its heavenly. If Jesus wanted to convince his disciples he was God he would have given them Blue Bell. They also have some very fun Texas type seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Pecan Pie and Blackberry Cobbler.

Thanks for stopping by!

60 words

I starred at the screen and mentally kicked myself. HARD. I had work for thirty minutes on a story then i had failed to save it. I attempted to undo the dastardly deed and only managed to get what I had had and hour before. As I sat there staring at the few sentences that were left I realized something. I had only lost 60 words. I wasn't sure weather to be glad that that was all I had lost or mad that I had spent half and hour on 60 little words. Along with that and thinking I had ruined my headphone jack and completely deleted a blog post. I decided to call it a day, even though all of them were false alarms I decided not to tempt fate. =P
On a random note my oldest sister (Sarah) has gone back to work so now five of my family members have jobs or school in Austin. Thankfully Sarah and Grace are sharing a job so they go on alternating days. =) But for the most part its just me, my mom and Rebekkah, its hard to adjust to so I would appreciate it if you would keep me in your prayers.

So just a reminder, as hard as 60 words are to loose, there easier re-written then 1.000 words. Keep your chin up and don't forget your wonderful. =)
