Food For Thought #33

Never Forget.
Photo Via google photos.
We lost some of our nations bravest hero's on this day, fourteen years ago.

The family and friends of those people will never forget that day.

Let us never forget to pray for their family's.

Its up to us not to forget, we pray that, by God's grace, it will never happen again.

My Life (In as many posts as it takes) #61

You know that second tutorial I promised y'all since July 20'th? *Nevous chuckle* I'm sorry about that. Good news; I finally got around to doing it!!! =D So, I am very happy to present to you, my second ever tutorial.

This is for how to make a banner out of the extra paint chips from long strips.

Step 1. Get your suplys.
You'll need a
Hot glue gun
String or thin yarn
indavidule paint chips
and something to cover your work area.

Step Two:
Pick your paint chips.
I picked two shades of pink, alternating.

Step Three:
Cut off the white strip so that it looks better.

Step Four:
Draw a small peek on your card.

Step Five:
Cut it out. This will provide a cute little style to your chips.

Step six:
Make sure your cards are in order and flip them over.

Step Seven:
Meaure out some string, leaving about three-four inchs on each side.

Step Eghit:
Put some hot glue on the top edge of your chips, stick the sting on it, then add a little extra glue on top of the string to hold it on.

Step Nine:
Give a little bit of room, then put the next card. Continue on until you have all the chips on the sting.

Step Ten:
Wait a minute for the glue to cool, then flip it over.

Step Eleven:
Just for fun, I wrote a word out on mine. But you could use stickers, write a sentance or whatever you want!

Step Twelve:
Hang your banner up.

Thanks for reading! I hope this was good. If you have any questions, just comment and I would be happy to ansrew them!

If you didn't catch my first tutorial, go ahead and cheack it out HERE

Food for Thought #32

When you are faced with your faults.

I would love to be able to tell y’all that I am a person of few faults. Or that those faults that I might possess are not too obvious. Unfortunately, there is no such luck for me. This week, more than anything else, I have been struggling with some of my many faults. And quite honestly, I’ve also been struggling with the fact that they are so bad sometimes. I am a person with very little tacit, which has often been pointed out as one of the points in which I am the worst at controlling. Lack of tacit often means that my faults are very obvious to everyone around me so there pointed out to me quite a lot.
Something hit me today. The fact is that I’m not perfect, and neither are you. We all have parts of ourselves that we wish we could get rid of. But God gave you that struggle for a reason. He gave me a horrible lack of tacit for a reason. Every day God helps me work through my faults because there’s a reason for them. So theres no need for me to hate that about myself. Just work on it, because God has got a master plan.

Writing Wednesday #16

In which I've finished a book and my summer challenges.

Well, this is the end of my summer challenges. Its been a great three months and it all turned out pretty well. Heres in order of how I first posted them:

Reading:

I managed to finish all but one book on my reading list. I wasn't able to read England Adventure because I wasn't able to buy it. =/ But I finished all the others! =D Here are my reads month by month:

With a grand total of 46 books in three months, I am very satisfied.

Writing:

I really did not do well in this category. I was hoping to write four books but I ended up only writing two. Only one of these was on my list. =P

I finished Are We There Yet and Margrets story! It wasn't what I had intended to write, but I ended up really enjoying myself. =D

Blogging:

I hosted a giveaway and I think I did better with my Writing Wednesday posts. =)

Lifestyle:

I ran every day Monday-Friday.

Arts:

I do not think I quite took photos every day because my mom took the camrea on a trip over the weekend, but I did take photos most days.

I failed misrably at art. I drew about five pictures in the last three months. =P

This is what my acomplishment board now looks like. =D

Well, there you go, all my challenges done with. Unfortunately, summer is leaving. =( Usually I'm pretty happy about fall but this year its coming so soon its sad.

How did your summer go?

My Life (In as many posts as it takes) #60

In which Mikayla is a little late, but with a good excuse.

Well, I'm posting later in the day then I normally do but, like I said, I've got a good excuse. We have no water at our house right now. Something went wrong. So yeah, I had been planning on being a good blogger, getting up early and writing this but I ended up being drafted in the middle of brushing my hair to help save my sisters belongings from water backing up into her bathtub. After that we retreated to town to get some quality time together at the laundry matt and now were just chilling. We can't even begin to work on the water until tomorrow night so that's going to be an adventure.
I will be posting on Wednesday about how my challenges went because today, the very last day of my summer challenges, I am desperately trying to finish up several last things. This challenge has been awesome and I'm excited to be able to share the whole thing with y'all.

Well, to go with that story, here are some photos I took this week. Enjoy!

Think he wants something?

Have an awesome week!
