My Life (In as many posts as it takes) #89

On the Brazos

Two weeks ago my family got the awesome opportunity to go to Washington on the Brazos. Thats the place where the Texans declared their independance from the Spanish. There is even Independence hall where they signed their declaration of independance. (Though the hall is a rebuilt version. I believe the original burned down.) Most of the photos I have to share today from that are not the actual buildings or museums, but random things along the way. I hope you enjoy them!

We got there and the first thing I saw was a flower. I had to take a picture of this little beauty.

Bluebonnets. *Happy sigh*

I've been wanting to get photos of this kind of tree for a long time and I finally got to!

If you hadn't guessed I got distracted in a field of flowers while my family was in a gift shop.

Indian Paintbrushes.

Ahh yes, here is one of the random things from inside I took a photo of. I've always loved these.

Anyone know what these are?

This was a cabin made to be like what the servant quarters would be like back then.

And there was an awesome tree outback.

The front of the cabin.

And this was just an absolutely awesome house we saw on the way back.
I guess you can probably tell I get really distracted by nature while walking around. ;) Thanks for reading!

  3. I remember going there a few years ago! (Back before I was into photography... what a shame that opportunity got passed up.) It really is a beautiful place. I'm glad y'all got to go!
