Camp, 20,000 Words, and Spys

Writing Wednesday #33

Well, CampNaNo is over for another year. I was really blessed this season by being in a group with some really sweet christian girls, and amazing writers.

These are my stats from the final day I wrote, and when I finished my book. I ended up with 22,500 words, which was 2,500 words over my goal! And so my third book about Mandy McMullen is done. This one happens to be something about spies, which I just loved. I posted a small snidbit of this book here, which was probably my favorite moment in the whole story.

But here is another snidbit of the book:

"I think people misunderstand what home is.”
“And what is it to you?” He said with a slight smile.
I looked up at the sky; it was turning a darker shade of blue as the sun went down “To me, home is someone I love holding me close when I need it the most.”
His gaze fell again, “Then I don’t think I’ve ever had a home.”

What do you think of this?
Did you do CampNano?

I don't know that I will be publishing it. I love writing it, but I'm not sure I'm ready to show it to the world yet. =P
