Food For Thought #41

Love is Patent.

 
In 1 Corinthians 13:4 we’re told that Love is patent. Patience is something I really struggle with. I’ve been told all different ways I could help my patience, always waiting in longer lines, forcing myself to wait for things, and dozens of other good suggestions but I still find it hard to wait a lot of times. Recently I found a quote “Patience isn’t about learning to wait, it’s about learning to wait with a good attitude.” I think this quote has a lot of truth behind it. It’s not all about waiting, it’s about your attitude.


Also we’re told that God is love. If God is love, then 1 Corinthians 13 describes him as, among other things, patent. And who better to learn it from then the one who dwells within us?

Love is patient.
 
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
