One of my favorite authors

Hey everyone, you might notice that I have been horrible at posting this month. I apologize deeply for that, and also that you were supposed to have this yesterday, and I forgot. But, today I have one of my favorite authors here with one of my favorite books.

Here's Sarah Holman with Kates Innocence!

And shes talking about my favorite character: Logan!

Today I would like to introduce you to one of the characters my new series, Kate’s Case Files: Logan Sparks. Most people read her name and assume she is a boy, but let me assure you, she is a very girly-girl. What to know some other things about this girl? Here are a few things you might like to know:
~ she has long, red hair.
~ she likes wearing her gun, especially when she has a skirt on
~ she has is often found with a small ball in her hands
~ she is one of the perkiest people you will meet
~ if you give her the job of organizing the evidence for a case, be prepared for a lot of color-coding.

Here is a bit of her story:
“Can you believe these people? The campus is blown up and all they can think about is all the money they are going to lose when the students transfer to other schools!” Logan’s passionate declaration ended with a frustrated jab at the power button.
Kate smiled. Logan was a character, that was for sure. She was wearing a floral skirt with pink rosebuds on it and a soft green, button up shirt. Kate blinked twice as she realized that she also wore a belt with holstered gun and her FBI badge.
“A blow like this could devastate the local economy. The college is the main source of income for the town. Many businesses close during the summer when the students are away. If they lose the school, they lose everything.”
Logan pressed her small ball between her palms. “But don’t you think it’s odd that these people are more worried at this point about money than what happened that night?”
She sounded so young, so naïve to Kate. How could she work for the FBI and understand so little about human nature?
“Americans, for the most part, only care about themselves. They may be horrified by an event for a short time, but in the end their real question will be: ‘How does this affect me?’”
She squeezed her ball harder. Her eyes squinted, and her lips were pressed tightly together as if she was thinking hard. “I guess you’re right.”

I especially love that she likes to carry along a gun while wearing a skirt. I love the hardcore/feminine types of girls. :P
