In which Mikayla is still not on track with writing.
I apoligize that this post is late, I had it all written up and ready Tuesday night, but our internet went out and did not start working again until now. =/
Well, this is the last of my three month challenge. On almost everything I’ve done wonderful. I’ve been running, taking photos, reading and drawing lots! The only one I really lost at is writing. I was supposed to write 3-4 storys (I don’t remember) and I have a grand total of 1. Oh, and a third of another one. So yeah, that one is not going great. My writing has still been coming very hard to me this past two months. But, after a week break (I was brain dead after CampNaNo) I am ready to start up again.
I’m a third of the way through a medieval fiction that is something I have wanted to write for a long time. I though y’all might like to hear about it, so here is the synopsis and a little about each of the characters.
When the country of Thaylon is spilt into two kingdoms and ruled by two brothers who are out to get each other, it quickly begins to collapse. Margret, a ward of the late king, was requested on his death bed to help bring the country, and the brothers, back together. The brothers are determined to never speak to each other again. Can Margret bring them back together before they destroy Thaylon with their hatred?
Ward of the late king, Margret is troubled now with divided loyalty as the brothers separate. Both want her to support them, but all she is concerned with is getting them back to being on good terms. Margret doesn’t know quite what to do with the brothers, but when the kingdom starts crumbling right before her eyes she realizes she has to do something and fast.
He’s the eldest brother, but he has no care for the people what so ever. He resents that his father split the kingdom, wishing that he had been given it all so that he could have more power. Margret is an annoyance to him, for she is constantly pricking his conscious about his brother. Richard wishes he could have her on his side though, because a great deal of people trust her. With an uncontrollable temper, deep rooted anger at his brother and a want for power, Richard rules the south half of Thaylon and leads it towards destruction.
The younger brother who used to have a heart for the people, but after a year of ruling the kingdom and having many arguments with his brother all John wants is to beat Richard at the twisted game they are playing between the kingdoms. John wishes Margret would stop bothering him about making it right with Richard he knows he should, but is so rooted in the hatred he has built, does not attempt to get out.
The Queen Mother:
John and Richards mother who was greatly attached to her late husband. Now that he is gone she does not see much of a reason for life and mostly sits around all day doing nothing. Sending people on fools errands all the time, and making rediculas requests, the rumor has started that she has gone crazy. She takes sides with Richard and John, which does nothing to help their relationship. Distant from everyone, and seeming to be living in a world of her own, the queen mother is not very liked by anyone.
Young new captain of the guard, Tobias is striving to do his best in his new job. There is plenty to keep him busy, for he has to deal with many of the disturbances that John and Richard cause. Tobias serves Margret more than anyone, for he recognizes all that she does for the kingdom. Tobias is a faithful servant, wanting to help wherever he can to get the kingdom back.
