Writing Wednesday #10

In which Mikayla rambles about her writing for awhile before sharing some of it.

Well, here I am, for my tenth Writing Wednesday. I'm glad I started this series, though I still feel like I haven't settled into a good routine for it. Please forgive my stumblings while I do figure it out. =) I'm wading into "Just Your Ordinary Messenger", which has been such a challenge to write because Mandy (the main character and narrator) has amnesia essentially. Its been an awesome challenge though, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. =D I have never attempted to write serious amnesia book, and this is making me wish I had done it sooner.

So, now that you've gotten an update on my book, here is a poem I wrote in 2013-14. I don't really don't know when. =/

A warriors heart;
It is brave and true
It’s straighter the a dart
It keeps their life in cue
What makes a warrior so strong?
It’s their unfailing trust in God
In good times and bad and all day long
And accepting his word with a nod
But you know what makes a warriors truest of all?
It’s their willingness to admit when they do things wrong

Is there anything ya'll would like to hear about my stories?
Would y'all like to see more about my yet unwritten storys?

  1. This poem is wonderful, Mikayla! Very encouraging. Good luck on your book:) Characters with amnesia are to read about so I can only imagine how it must be to write about one. I'd love to see any of your stories because I know they're awesome.
