Rain, Rain, and a bit more rain.
It started raining Saturday night and hasn't stopped since. So yeah, my world is very wet and that means finding more projects to do inside. I decided that I'm going to take advantage of this time to sew and read. Especially since I've got a stack of books to read on my desk and a pile of sewing projects on my bed. So yeah, that's what my weeks going to consist of.
I almost forgot to tell you! On Saturday I got this super awesome thing called an Alpha Smart! (If you've never seen one, there's a (blurry) picture of one on my Instagram account here. So far I am loving it! All you can do on it is write, and its super easy to take around with me, so I've been taking it around and writing whenever I have free time. Its been helping my CampNaNo word count a lot!
What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
Whats your favorite way to write?
besides writing or reading, on rainy days I like to bake or make friendship bracelets, or anything really. My preferred way to write is one Microsoft Word. I have actually considered getting an Alphasmart in the past, it's really awesome that you got one. :D
ReplyDeleteBTW, the lizard pictures are adorbs. ;)
Thats awesome! I love writing while its raining, it helps me concentrate. =) Now you've put me in the mood to make friendship bracelets though, so I might have to do that sometime today. ;D
DeleteCool! If you ever decide to get one; I would recommend the Alphasmart 3000, its been great! Also, its super easy to learn how to use. =)
Aww, thanks! I chased that little guy around for ten minutes getting photos of him. ;D
Thanks so much for commenting!

Sounds a bit like my typewriter XD One of the many reasons I like to write on it is because there are not many distractions (okay, except that adorable 'ding!').

Oh, I love my typewriter to! The only reason I prefer my Alphasmart for writing is because I can jump it right from there to the computer.
DeleteBut I still love my typewriter! What type do you have? =)
-Mikayla-
A blue & white 'royal'. How about you? Oh, and by the way, my sis lives in Texas :D I've been there, but was WAY too young to remember.
Delete-Mic
Thats awesome! Is it portable? =D I actually have two typewriters, one is a 1970's electronic one, and I don't even know the company's name, and then I have a 1923 `Underwood typewriter. =D I love them both.
DeleteHow cool! =D If you ever come again, you'll have to tell me so we can meet! =D
-Mikayla-
ehhh-portable? Um, it has it's own suitcase, so yes, I suppose (though it is REALLY heavy, haha) wow, that's cool XD I really don't know when mine came out, but it isn't electronic.
DeleteOh yes!!! :D Wouldn't that be fantastic? <3
-Mic
Well that's cool! Though it sounds kinda hard to take around. ;D I love non electronic ones. =)
DeleteYes, it would! I hope we get the chance to do it someday. =D
-Mikayla-
Your pictures are beautiful! My favorite thing to do on rainy days is read. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! =D
DeleteReading is pretty awesome on rainy days. =) I love sitting by a window and reading while its rainy. =) Whats your favorite book?
-Mikayla-
Rainy days are nice sometimes! Hmm, my favorite thing to do during them? Read, I suppose. Or watch fun movies? Like, maybe, Pride and Prejudice, or something? ;) Congrats on getting the Alpha Smart!!! I had something kind of like that, but I never got around to really using it long-term. I used it a little... I actually have some snippets of stories still left on it. XD I don't think it transferred as easy from it to the computer as the Alpha Smart, though. The best way I write is definitely on a laptop, with music, and perhaps in some scenic area. :) ;) Definitely with no distractions!

P.S. I'll try to email you back today!
Haha, yes, maybe Pride an Prejudice would be good. ;D I still haven't around to watching that again. *Sigh*
DeleteThanks. =) So far its been really awesome. =D Hum, well that sounds annoying. =P
Alright! I look forward to hearing from you!

I love every one of these pictures. You have great composition with the flowers.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else think it's cool that you caught a bug on the closest, in-focus Indian paintbrush?
For practical reasons, I usually write on my laptop, but I'll sometimes use good ol' pen and paper to keep my handwriting in shape.
I know you prefer not to edit photos, but the lizard needs a headset and walkie-talkie. Okay, that was in jest.
Thanks!
DeleteI don't think anyone else noticed. In fact I had to scroll back up and look at it to see what you were talking about. Bugs are such good photobombers.
Haha, that would be great! Unfortunately I don't have any headset photos to edit on there! Do you have one you could spare? ;)
-Mikayla-
That lizard is so cute! I love your pictures! :)

We used to use Alpha Smarts in school! They were really lightweight and convenient. I'm glad your word count has been going well. April has been ULTRA busy for me since I've been participating in my school's musical, so sadly I haven't been able to do NaNo. :(
ReplyDeleteRAIN IS SO PRETTY YAY.

Thats cool! Yeah, I love how lightweight mine is! I've been carrying it around with me in a messanger bag so I can have it during my free time. =)
DeleteWell, I'm sorry you couldn't do NaNo, but being in a musical has got to be awesome! What musical is it? =)
Yes it is. =)
